Bib & Tucker Sew-Op is a nonprofit with the aim of empowering, educating, and creating economic opportunities through the modality of sewing. Each product available through our online shop is linked to a program that supports our neighbors in Birmingham, Alabama. All products are made from reclaimed textiles otherwise destined for the landfill. Bib & Tucker Sew-op was founded in 2010 by friends Lillis Taylor and Annie Bryant who met at a Birmingham Quilters Guild meeting. Lillis went through the 9-week #CO.STARTERS program at Create Birmingham in Birmingham, AL because  she and Annie wanted to empower, educate, and create economic opportunities through the art of sewing for anyone! Bib & Tucker Sew-op has about 25 members who get together weekly for sewing and quilting classes with a membership fee for only $5 a month. They also have several programs for the public designed to promote sewing activities. The non-profit is funded through grants and charitable contributions.
