THE CHATTANOOGA STORY
Once known for being the dirtiest city in America, Chattanooga has undergone a transformation in the past few decades, replacing its former moniker with several others: the Scenic City, the Gig City, and Best Town Ever by Outside Magazine two years in a row. In the center of it all is The Edney Innovation Center, which serves as the front door to Chattanooga’s Innovation District and home to key partners such as CO.STARTERS, The Company Lab, LAUNCH Chattanooga, the Enterprise Center, and Society of Work.
HOW TO GET HERE
Airport
Though small, the Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport (CHA) sits only five miles from downtown and is the most convenient way to fly. It’s simple to catch an Uber, taxi, or pick up a rental car in the terminal to get you downtown.
Chattanooga is also only two hours away from Atlanta (ATL) and Nashville (BNA) airports. Groome Transportation offers a wonderful shuttle service between these airports and Chattanooga, making it worthwhile to check other itineraries if flying into CHA is cost prohibitive.

Goodman Coffee
Located in Warehouse Row, Goodman Coffee provides an amazing locally roasted cup of coffee, along with a great atmosphere for getting a little work done or catching up with a friend. Owner Ian Goodman is also a CO.STARTERS facilitator who decided to go back into coffee after working through a CO.STARTERS Canvas during a session.
Niedlovs
One of the first businesses to locate to Main Street, Niedlovs is a Chattanooga institution. In addition to amazing baked goods, they also have fantastic soups, sandwiches, and salads.
Public House
If you’re looking to try some southern food while you’re in town, go to Public House. Located in Warehouse Row, this casual upscale restaurant provides a nice dinner as well as a surprisingly affordable lunch. The pimento cheese with fried pickles is a favorite.
Two Ten Jack
Two Ten Jack is a Japanese-inspired neighborhood pub that incorporates local, Southern ingredients. You can’t go wrong with the ramen and you’ll definitely want an order of crispy brussels for the table.
Flying Squirrel
This hip bar on the Southside was opened by CO.STARTERS graduates after the success of their boutique urban hostel, the Crashpad.
Bluegrass Grill
Perhaps one of the best breakfasts in Chattanooga, Bluegrass Grill is a family-owned spot with great breakfast and lunch options. Get a biscuit. You’ll thank us.
EXPLORE THE CITY
Chattanooga Whiskey Tasting
Located in the heart of downtown Chattanooga across from the historic Chattanooga Choo Choo, the Tennessee Stillhouse micro-distillery and tasting room is steeped in the history and lore of Tennessee’s rich whiskey tradition. Ask about the Facebook post that started it all and how prohibition laws thwarted its launch.
Bike The Riverwalk
Checkout a bike through Bike Chattanooga, our local bike share program, and see the sights along the Riverwalk. Beginning at TVA’s Chickamauga Dam and stretching thirteen miles along the Tennessee River through downtown Chattanooga to Lookout Mountain, this linear park offers visitors the opportunity to see a bit of the city.
Coolidge Park & the Northshore
Walk across the Walnut Street Bridge to the Northshore district for a variety of neat shops and restaurants, including a Chattanooga institution – Clumpies Ice Cream.
