The case studies provide a standard platform for conversation and are meant to create discussion around the new topics presented. This also allows the facilitator to observe how well the cohort is understanding the new concepts. As you progress through the course, the case studies become more detailed as the case study personas face situations that relate to that session’s content. During Session 7 and Session 8, the case studies are vitally important to explaining costing and other financial calculations. Without the earlier context of the case studies, participants will be further confused if they haven’t followed the case studies week by week.

You may find that you don’t have time to complete the case study during the session because you found discussion went longer than expected on a certain subject. That’s OK. Assign the case study as fieldwork.
